Budapest

One of the jewels of Europe – Paris of the East –  Budapest’s famed Buda and Pest areas are split by the Danube.

It is said that if you dig a hole in Budapest you will find hot water, This must be true as one of the favourite past times are Hot Water spas. Even the younger crowds have what they call Sparties (Hot Water Pool Parties). Certainly a must see while you are there.

Some of the more exotic places to visit is the Labyrinth of Buda Castle or visit a farmers market in a ruin bar. Enjoy the delicious local Hungarian cuisine like a Gouslah in a Kettle or a Bécsi szelet – a  “Viennese slice” or Wiener schnitzel.

Vienna

Next, enjoy a rail ride to Vienna, The capital city of Austria – the city of Music and Art. Known as the birth place of free thinkers where even Einstein himself enjoyed exploring it ancient streets. There are thousands of music events throughout the year – from the Vienna Philharmonic concerts, to intimate live music at the small concert cafes. The best way to explore Vienna is slowly as there is much to see and taste.

Prague

Your final visit will be to historic Prague, with its rich history and culture. Explore the old city on foot, with a visit to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square.

You can embark on a self-guided tour of Prague cuisine at the many quint restaurants. Alternatively, join the Traditional Czech Food Tour to ensure you don’t miss out on any classic local dishes.

Don’t neglect the locally brewed beer in one of the many cafés or bars in Prague. Less know is the long tradition of the Czech Republic as a producer of Absenthe. The Slavia Café made famous by poets and artist of yesteryear, kept the traditions of the exotic drink.
